Smallmouth Bass Tactics
Of the two major bass species the smallmouth is more like the freshwater trout in its liking for moving water. Smallmouths are found in lakes as well, plenty of them, but they normally grow larger in rivers and are physically stronger in such environments as a result of having to swim against a current most of the time.
